Product roadmap/Updated August 2026

One system of record for the whole franchise network

FranOps runs the operational core of a franchise system — franchisees, units, and the territories that separate them — and connects it directly to the places demand actually arrives: your locator, your location pages, your forms, and your booking flow.

This page sets out what is available now and where we are heading, so you can judge the fit for where your brand will be in a year rather than only where it is today.

Available today

In production

Everything below is live and running for franchise brands today. It is included in the platform rather than sold as a series of separate modules.

Franchise system of record

  • Franchisee and location records with status tracking
  • Custom fields on any record type, defined by you
  • Bulk import and export
  • Location transfers between franchisees, with full history

Territory mapping and assignment

  • Radius and ZIP-code territories on an interactive map
  • Real ZIP boundary shapes, not approximations
  • Overlap visualization to settle boundary questions
  • Exclusive, protected, and non-exclusive assignment types

Franchise development pipeline

  • Candidate pipeline as a board or a table
  • Stages from first inquiry through signing
  • Activity timeline: notes, calls, emails, stage changes
  • Franchise-sales forms and CSV import

Customer leads for your franchisees

  • Each franchisee gets their own pipeline, isolated from the others
  • Leads route to the right unit by territory automatically
  • Consent captured at the point of collection
  • Permanent removal of personal details on request

Demand capture

  • Form builder with file uploads, published to any website
  • Submissions routed to the correct location
  • Notification and confirmation email, with delivery tracking
  • Online booking with per-location hours and availability rules

Your local web surface

  • Store locator search across the whole network
  • Embeddable location and territory maps
  • Location pages your franchisees write and you deliver to your own site
  • Shared image library, with AI image generation built in

Network communication

  • Announcements to the network, with read tracking
  • Configurable dashboards for HQ staff and for franchisees
  • Role-based access down to the individual action

Platform and integrations

  • An API built for AI agents, where the agent inherits exactly the permissions of the person using it
  • A GraphQL API generated for your organization, including your custom fields
  • API keys, single sign-on, and your own identity provider
  • ServiceTitan synchronization

In development

Being built now

Under active construction. Early-access customers help shape these before general release.

Google Business Profile

  • Profile details for every location, kept beside the location record
  • Reviews collected across the network
  • Performance metrics: calls, directions, website clicks
  • The search terms customers actually used to find each unit

Connection and mapping are built. Live data is pending Google's review of our production API access — a step on their schedule, not ours.

Plan and usage visibility

  • See your plan, included allowances, and consumption in one place
  • Per-franchisee usage breakdown

Next

Committed direction

Where we are taking the product next. The theme is depth in franchise development, and getting a lead to the right person fast — the two places a franchise system loses the most money.

Follow-up tasks and queues

  • Due-dated tasks on any candidate, lead, or franchisee
  • A daily queue for each member of your development team
  • Nothing waiting on someone's memory or a side spreadsheet

Lead source attribution

  • Every inquiry carries the portal, broker, or campaign it came from
  • Cost per lead and lead-to-award rate by source
  • Answers the question of which portals to renew

Deal detail and forecasting

  • Units, fees, and expected close date on each opportunity
  • Multi-unit and area development agreements represented properly
  • Conversion by stage, time in stage, and pipeline velocity

Agreement workflow

  • Applications, financials, and signed documents held against the candidate
  • Disclosure period tracked automatically, not on a calendar reminder
  • One step converts an awarded candidate into a live franchisee record

Speed to lead

  • Response time targets, with escalation when a lead goes untouched
  • Round-robin assignment inside a franchisee's team
  • Text message and push notification the moment a lead lands

Email sequences and reply capture

  • Templates and multi-step follow-up over a long sales cycle
  • Replies captured on the timeline without anyone logging them
  • Unsubscribe handling built in

Brokers and referral partners

  • Referral sources tracked as a channel in their own right
  • Commissions attached to the awards they produced

Openings pipeline

  • Site selection, lease, buildout, training, grand opening
  • The stretch between signing and opening, on one board

Migration tooling

  • Bring contacts, deals, and history from your current CRM
  • Import from franchise suites and from spreadsheets

Directions we are actively investigating and have not committed to. If one of these is important to your brand, tell us — it is the most direct way to influence what we build.

  • Requests from your franchisees, tracked and answered in one place
  • A knowledge base they can search first

Multi-brand support

  • Brands and service lines as first-class records
  • Separate websites and analytics per brand, one operational core

Territory analysis

  • Demographics and drive-time analysis when drawing a territory
  • Territory packets to share with candidates

More marketing connections

  • Website analytics and search performance per location
  • Call tracking and review platforms

Electronic signature

  • Send, sign, and store agreements without leaving the pipeline

Self-serve plans

  • Choose and change your plan without talking to us

How we decide what to build

Three commitments that hold across every item on this page.

Built on the franchise model

Territories, exclusivity, unit transfers, and the line between what HQ sees and what a franchisee sees are part of the data model itself. General-purpose tools reproduce this with workarounds that break as you grow.

Your franchisees are users too

Franchisees pay a technology fee and rightly resent tools that only serve head office. They get scoped access to their own locations, territory, pages, and leads — which is what makes the fee defensible at an advisory council meeting.

Your data stays reachable

Every record is available through an API generated for your organization, custom fields included, and through an agent interface that respects the permissions of whoever is asking. No export request, no professional services engagement.

About this roadmap. It describes our current product direction and is provided for information only. It is not a commitment, a contract, or a guarantee of delivery. Priorities and sequence change as we learn from the brands we work with, and items may move between horizons or be set aside. Deliberately, no dates are given.

Please do not rely on unreleased functionality when making a purchasing decision — buy on what is available today, and treat everything beyond that as direction. Anything dependent on a third-party platform is additionally subject to that platform's own approval and timing.
